Hello! My name is Ritvik Teegavarapu, and I am an incoming Ph.D. student at Brown University in the Applied Mathematics department under the supervision of Kavita Ramanan, and currently a fourth-year undergraduate at the California Institute of Technology on track to receive my B.Sc. in Applied and Computational Mathematics under the supervision of Franca Hoffmann. My research interests are broadly in applied probability theory, specifically in rigorously studying and implementing interacting particle systems for applications in optimization, sampling, large deviations, optimal transport, and many more. See my Research page for more information!
Outside of academics, I am incredibly passionate about teaching and mentoring, whether that be through serving as an instructor, introducing children to the joys of mathematics, or doing mathematical pedagogy research. I firmly believe that improving the quality and accessibility of education is the first of many steps needed to fix the educational droughts present across the world. Please feel free to contact me with any and all teaching opportunities that are generally in the domain of applied mathematics!
